JERROLD F. JANATA, an attorney and appraiser, is CEO of International Appraisal Company.

He holds a B.A. in Political Science from New York City’s Queens College, a Masters in Finance from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, and a J.D. from Fordham Law School in New York City. He is admitted to the New York and Pennsylvania Bars. A member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), he is a licensed appraiser in New Jersey and Tennessee. He is also licensed as a Senior Property Tax Consultant in Texas.

He has published numerous articles and spoken before various professional groups over the past 40 years. His books include Property Tax Manual, published by Prentice-Hall in 1979. He wrote and edited the 1st (1987), 2nd (1993) and 3rd (2004) editions of Property Taxation for the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). He edited IPT’S Sales and Use Taxation published in 2004. He is a member of the taxation editorial board of the Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives.
